Ralph Bloemers has worked for more than twenty years with scientists, firefighters, tribes, and conservation organizations across the Pacific Northwest on wildfire science, forest conservation and community resilience. His work focuses on translating research on how homes and buildings ignite during wildfire events into practical strategies for building design, retrofits and community risk reduction. He works with researchers and fire professionals to communicate wildfire ignition science to policymakers, communities and the building industry. Bloemers is Executive Producer of Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire, an attorney specializing in land use and wildfire policy and an advisor to policymakers on wildfire resilience and community preparedness.
