Tune in on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 12 p.m. Central to learn from industry leader, Brad Van Dam of Metal-Era and Hickman, on the best practices for loss mitigation. In the “Loss Mitigation Through Building Design with Brand Van Dam” webinar, Brad will show attendees how to identify and prevent some of the most common risks in the industry.
As we see an increase in the devastating impacts of natural disaster events, insurance claims are skyrocketing into the billions of dollars' worth of damage and, heartbreakingly, loss of life. The rise in damages and injury has led to the creation of industry standards such as the ES-1 and GT-1 being added to the international building code as well as concerns among contractors for finding ways to further aid in mitigating these risks.
There are practices and standards that contractors can add to their everyday work that can help mitigate these risks, such as through design choices and ensuring the importance of edge metal in building security. Brad Van Dam will walk attendees through four key learning objectives that address these ideas and provide them with the knowledge of how to identify and address common risks.
This learning opportunity isn’t one to be missed as such vital information and knowledge can mean the difference in life or death for customers at risk as well as preventing further property damage! Attendees of this webinar course can also earn an AIA Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) learning unit or an IIBEC Continuing Education Hour (CEH).
