New crematorium space offers peace through modern design

New crematorium space offers peace through modern design

By Anna Lockhart.

Phoenix, Arizona architects design a gorgeous metal space for grieving families to say their final goodbyes at local crematorium.

Though it is a topic few wish to think about, funeral and crematory services are a critical part of modern societal structure. These services exist to care for our loved ones on their final departure from the living, and in providing dignity at such a hard time, attending these services in a state-of-the-art facility can make a difference, even if only a small comfort.

As more Americans have started to choose cremation as their preferred arrangements after death rather than traditional burial practices, the need for new crematoriums and visitation spaces has emerged. In Arizona, Best Funeral Services enlisted the help of architecture firm, The Phoenix – New York Company to design a modern new facility for their crematorium visitation space for grieving families to gather in privacy and peace.

The new structure incorporates a gorgeous mix of solid and perforated metal panels from Peterson Aluminum, each coated in a Colonial Red Fluropon® finish from Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings, reflective of the natural landscape of the region. This mix of modernly designed panels offers visitors a shaded, peaceful space for gathering privately in their time of grief and goodbyes for the deceased out of the Arizona sun and heat.

The design was a genius choice for a facility renovation, as the metal panels were an economical choice for bringing new life into the old building, transforming the old carport into a new pavilion offering privacy and peace to the living who choose to visit in celebration of their deceased loved one’s life.
