The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) announces that Raeco Builders, headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and servicing the Midwest, now holds the prestigious AC478 accreditation administered by the International Accreditation Service (IAS). AC478, Accreditation for Metal Building Assemblers Inspection, is a standard to recognize metal building assemblers committed to excellence.
Achieving this accreditation demonstrates that Raeco Builders has the personnel, the organizational skills, vast experience, knowledge, management procedures and commitment to assemble metal buildings in accordance with code, specifications, costs and deadlines. Requirements for this accreditation include documented management systems, rigorous safety training, quality managers, OSHA training, documented safety plans, site-specific plans and other documentation.
“It was a natural and seamless build on your dream, with your robust management systems, rigorous jobsite practices and a culture of continuous improvement, to be AC478 accredited,” states Robert Tiffin, MBCEA President. “I am confident you will maintain your hyper-focus on making the (metal building systems) construction process easy, efficient and affordable! Congratulations Raeco!”
"While the IAS AC478 accreditation is a tremendous honor and a testament to our team's hard work, our dedication to quality extends far beyond any accreditation," remarks Tom Jurgens, Owner of Raeco Builders. "Ultimately, it's about our clients. It's about understanding their unique building goals and ensuring we not only meet, but exceed, their expectations with every project we undertake."
"We believe this accreditation provides our clients with unmatched peace of mind, knowing they're partnering with a contractor whose commitment to excellence has been independently verified," continues Jurgens. "For us, it's about maintaining the trust our clients place in us by consistently delivering projects that are safe, high-quality and built to last."

About Raeco
Raeco Builders, LLC was established in 2009 by owner Tom Jurgens. Working in the construction industry for over 23 years and having hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of construction, Tom was frustrated by the lack of attention being paid to building codes, customer service and safety. So, he decided to venture off on his own and he was determined to start a construction company that adhered to codes and didn’t take advantage of the end customer.
Since 2009, the RAECO team has been hyper-focused on making the construction process easy, efficient and affordable. Tom has never intended to grow the company into a construction giant, but business has kept the team growing steadily. RAECO has a full support team of project managers, designers and onsite supervisors to ensure success in the manufacturing and construction of your steel building. They all share the same core values that have built RAECO into an industry leader in steel buildings and concrete across the region.
