The Roofing Alliance is proud to release its 2024-2025 annual report. The report highlights the organization’s funding initiatives, membership, communications, awards, student competition and more.
Reed Gooding, GSM Roofing and 2024–25 Roofing Alliance president, noted that the alliance added six new members over the last year. “This growing network has enabled us to expand our reach and amplify our influence, including advancing our engagement with SkillsUSA and launching the new Center for Roofing Innovation and Leadership - both of which strengthen the industry today and build a foundation for the generations to come,” he stated.
Roofing Alliance executive director Alison L. LaValley, CAE said, “Roofing Alliance members are committed to supporting the mission to advance the industry through education, training, technology, sustainability and giving back. The progress and success of our new projects and initiatives is directly related to our members’ unwavering dedication.”
Roofing Alliance members have invested more than $17 million to advance the roofing industry. From supporting cutting-edge research and workforce training to funding scholarships, honoring outstanding workers and strengthening communities through philanthropic outreach, Roofing Alliance members are driving meaningful change and ensuring the long-term success of the roofing industry.
The first-of-its-kind Center for Roofing Innovation and Leadership has several key initiatives underway including establishing a full career pathway for future roofing professionals from middle school through higher education; creating a national program to develop academic programming and build a pipeline of roofing-focused educators and researchers and launching the first-ever roofing minor designed for colleges and universities nationwide.
Gooding extended appreciation to the members and staff for their contributions. “I would like to thank our board of trustees for its vision and guidance and our finance committee for its steadfast commitment to our long-term financial health. Equally important is the incredible staff whose tireless behind-the-scenes efforts make so much of what we do possible. Their quiet dedication powers our success, and I am deeply grateful for all they do.”
