SRS Distribution announces expansion in New York with the acquisition of Sider Lumber & Supply Co., Inc.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Nesconset, New York, Sider Lumber is owned and operated today by Frank and Joe Sider, second and third generation owners.

SRS Distribution Inc. (“SRS”) announced today that it has acquired Sider Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. (“Sider Lumber” or the “Company”), a wholesale distributor of lumber, decking, roofing, siding, windows & doors and other complementary building products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Nesconset, New York, Sider Lumber is owned and operated today by Frank and Joe Sider, second and third generation owners. The company employs a team of 18 people. While Frank plans to retire at closing, Joe will continue to lead the business going forward, ensuring continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers and employees.
