Top August stories: Embracing drone technology, a legacy of innovation and post-frame potential

Here’s what has been trending on the MetalCoffeeShop® (MCS) newsroom this past month.  

Contractors and other industry professionals are beginning to recognize the power and potential that drone technologies can offer their businesses. From providing better safety and efficiency measures to effectively minimizing the time needed to assemble damage assessments of roofs, drones like those from EagleView Assess are allowing industry professionals to change the way they do roof inspections.  

A well-loved article for MCS readers this past month showcased highlights from a conversation with Rich Benninghoff and Rebecca Talbot of Malco Products during their appearance on an episode of Roofing Road Trips®. The two discussed the legacy Malco has built over the last 75 years of business and how it has evolved to become a well-respected and trusted resource for the industry.  

Our most read article of August showcased the valuable resources produced by the National Frame Building Association (NFBA) available for members of the post-frame industry. Coffee Shop writer, Emma Peterson, highlighted the association’s collection of webinars designed to educate industry professionals on the importance and value of post-frame construction. The NFBA Online University webinars are held bimonthly throughout the year and are free for the public to participate in.
