A first-timer's guide to IRE 2026

Attending the International Roofing Expo for the first time? Don’t be intimidated by the variety of events and sessions there are to explore!  

The 2026 International Roofing Expo (IRE) will be held in Las Vegas January 20-22, 2026! This is one of the biggest annual roofing events in the industry, and while that can be a bit intimidating for newcomers, don’t let that keep you from what promises to be a career transforming and business boosting expo! In an episode of the Roofing Road Trips® podcast, manager Brandi McElhaney, IRE manager, and Rich Russo, show director, share their tips for navigating the show as a first-time attendee! 

The first recommendation this expert duo shared was to download the app! Brandi explained, “The app will guide you through the whole show. Think about it like this, you don't want to get dropped off at Disney without a map; the app is IRE’s version of a map. It will guide you and show you everything that we have to offer.” 

In addition to downloading the app ahead of time, Rich recommends exploring it and the show’s offerings in advance. He shared, “Be intentional and definitely have a plan going in. Use the tools that are available to you, and make sure you just participate in everything you possibly can. Because you never know where you’ll find that one connection that changes your business forever.” Brandi added, “I would spend some time looking at the conference sessions, identifying which ones you would like to attend, as well as looking at the seven educational areas on the show floor (these are where hands-on demos and education are hosted). Really, just plan out your day according to what's being held with the conference program, set up appointments and directly communicate with the exhibitors.”
