Since 1949, the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) has been helping roofing professionals across the region build their businesses and improve the standards of their work. Today, they are still continuing that mission in a variety of ways, including developing programs and administering services that educate and support their members. In addition to recognizing and filling the spaces where the industry can grow tomorrow, MRCA is dedicated to highlighting and celebrating where the industry shines today. That’s one of the reasons that they host a variety of awards for roofing excellence.
MRCA’s prestigious awards are presented at their annual conference (this year, hosted in Schaumburg, Illinois from October 20-22, 2025). There are a variety of categories that award members for everything from safety to innovation. All of these awards are chosen through a nomination process and there is still time to nominate for this year!
The MRCA Architectural Sheet Metal Project of the Year submissions will be open until June 30, 2025! This award highlights contractors who “have incorporated fabricated architectural sheet metal into an outstanding building project.” Projects submitted for this award must have been completed between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. Further, they must utilize 20% or more of architectural sheet metal to qualify as a significant application of the material.
Submissions will be judged on the integration of architectural sheet metal into the building design, the craftsmanship of the installation and the innovation displayed in the project. When submitting a project, please make sure to include high-resolution images of both the work-in-progress and the completed building (jpg, png, and pdf are accepted). Please note, there is a submission fee of $100.00.
Along with the physical award ceremony happening in October, the winner of MRCA’s 2025 Architectural Sheet Metal Project of the Year will be recognized on the MRCA website, in the official publication (MR Magazine) and on social media.
Submit an outstanding architectural sheet metal project today!
