The Nelson Family is a sixth-generation family of farmers. Settling near Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1886, the initial farmstead still stands to this day. Over a century old, the farm continues to accumulate corn and soybeans for production.
While this family farm is thriving, it requires more space for their equipment and updated buildings to endure harsh weather conditions. After having such a pleasant experience with Dan Larson, the owner of Dan Larson Construction, they decided to contact him again and ask for help upgrading their property. The one specific detail they requested was that it matched the other buildings on the farm which had white walls and a charcoal roof.
Finding materials that would stand up to extreme winds, freezing temperatures and would last for years to come, all while keeping with the matching aesthetics of the farm, was a job for ABC – American Building Component.
Throughout the project, the owner had a few changes, which were able to be executed easily through ABC’s online ordering. “ABC’s online ordering website allowed us to make the change quickly and keep everybody on the same page,” Dave Sorenson of Beisser Lumber says.
