A permanently flexible, weather-resistant formula provides strong adhesion for metal roofing, siding and general construction applications.
Construction sealants must withstand structural movement, moisture and changing weather without shrinking or cracking. The Sherwin-Williams brand, Geocel®, has developed the 4350™ Hybrid Construction Sealant, engineered to create a strong, watertight bond while maintaining the flexibility needed for long-term performance. The premium hybrid formula provides instant, tenacious adhesion to a broad range of building materials, including PVDF-, SMP- and polyester-coated steel; bare galvanized and Galvalume® metal panels; aluminum; copper; glass and plexiglass; brick and block; wood; vinyl siding; asphalt shingles;
tile; stone; and concrete.
Geocel® 4350™ is permanently flexible and exceeds ASTM C920 Class 50 testing. Its elasticity allows the sealant to accommodate structural movement while maintaining a waterproof seal. Once cured, the formula is mold- and mildew-resistant and creates a barrier against insects, airborne dust and dirt, rust and moisture.
Built for challenging conditions
Projects do not always happen under ideal conditions. Geocel® 4350™ can be applied to wet or dry surfaces and remains workable in temperatures as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit. The formula also performs on oily, cold or damp surfaces and offers outstanding UV resistance.
The sealant’s non-sag formula helps it stay in place during application. Low odor and strong workability make it suitable for use in extreme cold or heat. It becomes tack-free in 90 minutes or less and reaches full cure in 72 hours.
Versatile protection across the building envelope
Geocel® 4350™ can be used for metal roofing, siding, windows and doors, general construction and original equipment manufacturing for manufactured housing and recreational vehicles.
- Applications include:
- Metal roofing and siding laps, seams, fasteners, joints and valleys
- Roof penetrations, including pipes, vents, stacks, curbing, chimneys, cupolas and pipe boots
- Skylights, windows, doors and dormers
- Gutters, downspouts, drip edges and eaves
With a wide range of applications and the workability to get any job done, the Geocel 4350™ is a must have for any contractor.
