San Antonio Apartment Complex Gets Fresh Makeover!

MBCI Axiom Apartment Complex
June 26, 2023 at 6:00 a.m.

By Anna Lockhart.

After over sixty years of operation, the apartment complex management team knew it was time for the buildings to receive a modern makeover.

Located in San Antonio, Texas, the Axiom Apartments complex consists of four buildings – three apartment buildings and an office. The complex management company, Bob Ross Realty, knew that it was time for the apartment complex to get a fresh new look that consisted of more than just a small paint job. Bob Ross Realty enlisted the help of the experts at MBCI to help make the property more modern to better compete with newer construction.

At the start of construction, it was apparent that the team working on Axiom Apartments faced a few challenges. One, the exterior of the buildings was very worn and degrading due to lack of maintenance over the years and all four roofs needed major replacements. Two, the renovations to the interior of the buildings required the removal of sheet rock, plumbing, electric and A/C units due to large amounts of moisture damage.

Enter MBCI. The management team at Bob Ross Realty chose MBCI for a number of reasons, including: the aesthetic quality of their products and a diversity of color and texture choices; lifespan of metal versus other materials; application is easy compared to other options and the cost of metal was significantly less than other alternatives.

Installing metal panel walls allowed for a lower maintenance need compared to other materials, and all fascia board was wrapped with metal trim, as were doors and windows to give the buildings a more structured and modern look while also reducing the need to repaint those areas every few years in the Texas sun.
