Integrity Construction & Repair partnered with APOC to use a silicone coating on a church roof in Tampa, Florida, restoring the TPO membrane that had begun leaking along the perimeter. Covering 2,200 square feet, a full tear-off and roof replacement would have been extremely costly and disruptive to the congregation. Instead, a silicone restoration provided a durable, long-term fix without interrupting day-to-day activities in the building below.
The restoration process began with reinforcing all seams, penetrations and potential spots using APOC Incredible® Tape and APOC 581 Silicone Roof Patch. The entire roof was then coated with APOC 585 Armor Flex, a solvent-free liquid silicone membrane that creates a seamless, watertight barrier. This high-performance coating offers excellent durability, ponding water resistance and high reflectivity to improve energy efficiency.
In addition to preventing future leaks, the silicone system reduces long-term maintenance needs and helps lower cooling costs – both of which save the church time and money while extending the life of the roof.
