SRS Volunteers Make it a September to Remember

SRS Distribution and their heritage family of companies team members definitely made this September one to remember as over 300 of them volunteered to give back the gift of time.

Their incredible volunteers helped support several key SRS Raise the Roof Foundation charity partners including One Tribe Foundation’s 8th annual motorcycle ride, Children’s Advocacy Center’s Charity Classic Golf Tournament, Swim Across America’s Dallas area cancer research swim event and their newest national partner – 9/11 Day. 

Awesome teams of volunteers from all three of the SRS divisions around the country did a phenomenal job of participating in their first 9/11 Day nationwide effort in 18 cities across the U.S. Together, they donated 728 total hours of service to help pack more than 6.7 million meals for a network of food banks in communities stretching from New York, Boston and D.C., to St. Louis, Chicago and Dallas to Denver, Phoenix and LA and many more in between. Jackie Williams, national 9/11 Day of Service contact, said “Without question, this year’s meal pack was the most successful we have ever staged, thanks to SRS and their Raise the Roof Foundation! We are very grateful for their tremendous support in helping us transform 9/11 from a day of tragedy to a day of doing good.”

All combined, SRS had 335 employees step up to help these worthy causes and their activities by sharing their time, energy and service to give back in September! SRS is so proud of their service to their nonprofit partners and this initial companywide volunteer day. Way to go team SRS!
