Why Jobsite Safety Should be a Top Priority

Hayley Bohmer MCS Influencer October 2023
October 10, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.

MCS Influencer Hayley Bohmer says that manufacturing companies must take jobsite safety seriously.

From a manufacturing standpoint, safety on the jobsite must be our concern. I have read too many articles about contractors losing a hand or worse while on the job.

New Tech Machinery provides warnings on our equipment, during factory training and with improvements to our machinery. The UNIQ Control System, now available on our SSQII and WAV machines, has built-in safety. If a cover is removed, the machine will automatically go into manual mode.

With ours and other equipment, it is everyone’s responsibility to always have safety at the forefront of every day. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind:

  • Dress for the job (PPE)
  • Know the equipment you are working with.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.

Hayley Bohmer is an account manager at New Tech Machinery. See her full bio here.
