AWMI Scholarship Program

The AWMI scholarship programs are designed to support the educational, professional and career development of our members, in line with the mission and objectives outlined in our bylaws. This is an important benefit of membership, and we encourage all eligible members to apply.

Chapter scholarships may be used for:

Courses at accredited schools, colleges or universities
Educational materials (e.g., books)
Professional development seminars
AWMI conference-related expenses
Childcare or transportation costs associated with educational pursuits (with prior chapter board approval)

International Conference Scholarship Fund: This scholarship supports members who need assistance with travel or expenses to attend AWMI’s Annual Conference.

Eligibility requirements
Applicants must:

Be AWMI members in good standing for at least one year (dues paid for the current and previous year)
Remain a member for at least one year following receipt of the scholarship, or risk being required to repay the award
How to Apply
Access the Scholarship Application Form and indicate your intended use of the scholarship.
Be sure to check the box labeled “Scholarship Information.”
Your Chapter will follow up with the necessary details.
Applications must be submitted at least eight (8) weeks before any conference or event for consideration.
Applicants will be notified six (6) weeks prior to the registration deadline.
