Members of the CRCA, Canadian Roofing Contractors Association are the most knowledgeable roofing contractors, manufacturers and suppliers in Canada.

We advocate for and keep our members informed on matters of national and international interest. As the voice of the Canadian roofing industry since 1960, CRCA promotes collaboration within the industry from coast to coast. We also represent and defend our members’ interests and support them to excel in business both professionally and technically.

National Roofing Week 2026

Every year, the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) and our US-based sister organization, the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) come together to promote the roofing industry.

2026 represents the sixth year of CRCA’s National Roofing Week celebration, from June 7th to 12th.

In cooperation with our provincial affiliate roofing associations, this social media campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of industrial, commercial, institutional (ICI) roofing/building enclosure sector.

Throughout this week, CRCA members will highlight, through various actions and initiatives, the importance of the sector and the people who work in it.

Get involved/how to participate…social media plays a crucial role in the success of National Roofing Week. Be sure to share your company’s photos and videos and using the following hashtag: #RoofingWeekCanada.

Become a CRCA Member

Industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) roofers in Canada must first be members of their provincial roofing contractor associations before being accepted as a CRCA member. In provinces where no association exists, ICI roofers may apply directly to CRCA for membership. We also welcome other members of the industry, including manufacturers, suppliers, and individuals interested in learning more about the roofing industry. To become a CRCA member, please select your membership type and complete the online application below. If needed, you may request the application form be faxed or e-mailed to you.

Roofing Project Submittal and Protocol Guidelines

CRCA Roofing Manuals are nationally recognized resources for roofing best practices in Canada. Roofing Project Submittal and Protocol Guidelines provides guidance for specifying roofing project submittals and discusses protocols for handling project submittals during projects’ design, prebid, bidding, preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases. Frank Ladner Award

With the Frank Ladner Award the CRCA recognizes an individual for his or her technical contribution to the roofing industry. The award was established in honour of CRCA’s 1st Technical Director, Frank Ladner, for his technical contribution to the Canadian roofing industry. Nominees will have demonstrated the quality of providing outstanding technical knowledge to the roofing industry. Please submit nominations by December 31 of each year.

Roofing Canada Award

CRCA sponsors the Roofing Canada Award to recognize outstanding workmanship, innovation, service to the community, and service to the industry. All entries will be recognized by their peers for their significant contribution to the roofing industry. 

Roofing-related jobs, programs, and services completed in the past two years by CRCA members are eligible for the competition. The nomination deadline is December 31st of each year. To enter, download the Call for Entries. Submitters can be employed by the roofing contracting company being nominated.

Entries can also be submitted by CRCA Active, Active-at-large and Associate, as well as by CRCA Affiliate Associations. Award winners will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony during the CRCA Annual Conference & AGM, will receive a plaque to display at their workplace, and will be recognized and featured in CRCA’s Roofing Canada magazine and newsletter. Their name will also be added to the Roofing Canada Award plaque that hangs in CRCA’s Ottawa head office.

Jacques Chevalier Scholarship

The Jacques Chevalier Scholarship program is administered by CRCA. This program encourages and supports our members, their employees, their spouse/partner, and their children in the pursuit of higher education. Candidates must have completed high school and be enrolled in a College, CEGEP or University program in the year the award is made. Recipients must maintain a full-course load for the year. After selection, the winner must submit to the CRCA confirmation of admission to the institution concerned.

For a complete set of criteria, please read the JCS Program Criteria document. One undergraduate scholarship is awarded each year. The scholarship provides the recipients with a $2,000 education bursary, tenable for the period of one year. Candidates may reapply in the following year as well. The application deadline is November 1 of each year. Candidates must submit the following to CRCA:
