In the video, they explain that the floor of a metal deck is like a cake pan, and in order to properly fill and retain the contents of the area, there are a few steps and materials contractors must use.  

For example, to ensure that concrete does not leak from the contained area at the perimeters and openings, contractors can use pour stops, which are the same depth as the slab. They outline this full process in further detail, as well as break down the types of fasteners and accessories needed to fully secure the deck.  

From welding washers and shear studs to the button punch tools used to crimp side laps, this brief, yet informative video introduces some of the most basic and the most important materials used on floor deck in metal roof deck projects.
