Ongoing innovation at METALCON 2025

Learn about this year’s keynote speakers, educational workshops and what’s new. 

2020 was supposed to be Judy Geller’s first year running METALCON, but the world had other plans. As tradeshow director for METALCON, Judy had to pivot, just like most of us had to adjust to a strange new reality from the COVID-19 pandemic. “There's kind of a silver lining in every cloud,” Judy shared in a recent MetalCast™ episode hosted by Karen Edwards. “We ended up developing METALCON online. We started doing online education in 2020. Fortunately, METALCON came back with a roar, and we've never looked back.” 

Now, five years later, Judy is preparing for her fifth METALCON taking place in Las Vegas from October 21 – 23, 2025. They are continuing with the same innovative spirit they channeled back in 2020, but without the restrictions of being online. Judy highlighted some events you don’t want to miss, starting with this year’s keynote speakers.  

The headline keynote speaker is Clinton Romeshaw, a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant and a Medal of Honor recipient. He wrote a New York Times bestselling book called Red Platoon: The True Story of American Valor and was also portrayed in a Netflix series called Medal of Honor.  

“He's just an amazing, amazing man,” Judy expressed. “Whether you're leading a team or navigating personal trials or mentoring the next generation, he's going to inspire you to continue to move forward with integrity, focus and strength drawn from within.” 

The second keynote speaker is Alex Chausovsky, the director of analytics and consulting for the Bundy Group. 

“He is going to talk about the industry and trends and tariffs,” Judy shared. “He is going to put it all into context for us and help us understand what is going on in the metal construction industry. What do we need to be on the lookout for? How is this going to impact our business going forward?” 

On top of the keynote speakers, METALCON will also have kickoff sessions, several educational workshops and free learning centers on the tradeshow floor. And this year, METALCON is introducing something new: masterclasses. 

“These are for experienced installers, contractors and business owners,” Judy explained. “If you really want to deep dive into critical topics like lifetime roofing warranties, avoiding costly workers comp pitfalls, mastering building envelope performance — these are expert topics. You can do some deep learning there. This might be our best METALCON ever.”
