Expand Your Sample Tile to the Whole Project Using Visualization Technology

Renoworks Visualization Technology Podcast
August 15, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.

By Dani Sheehan.

Learn how you can help customers see exactly what the product will look like before the project begins.

Visualization in the roofing industry isn’t a new topic, but the digital approach continues to grow and has evolved to be an online tool with incredible capabilities. In a recent episode of MetalCast, Heidi J. Ellsworth sits down with Brad Finck of Renoworks to better understand how visualization can positively impact business, and how consumers can make informed decisions on their new roofing projects. The senior vice president with Renoworks for the last nine years, Brad has been in the construction software industry for 30 years.

Renoworks specializes in the digital approach of visualization, but as Brad explains, “it’s been around forever. People have been using project boards, they’ve been using sample boards in order to show what products are going to look like.” This helps a customer see one roof panel, but the follow up question is always, “what’s it going to look like on my whole [house]?” Renoworks offers solutions to this question in a variety of ways that work best for homeowners and contractors alike.

In one use case, “our contractors take our visualizer solutions, we brand it for them, and they put it on their website,” Brad explains. As homeowners or building owners begin their online search, “often they expect to be able to tinker with something because they’re trying to figure out exactly what that’s going to look like.” Customers need to trust that they’ll know what they are getting with a given product.

This isn't just good news for the homeowner, contractors and businesses reap the benefits too. Not only does it increase engagement on their website, but “they can actually capture a lead of that homeowner and see exactly what that consumer is picking as far as product selections and colors, and profiles to them a much better insight into what the homeowner’s interested in.” In the digital age, the industry is moving away from the “talk around the table,” to discuss product options. With visualization technology, you can cut straight to the chase and homeowners can trust they’ve made the best decision for their next project.

Listen to the full episode to learn about additional use cases and the advancements this visualization is bringing to metal construction.
