Get the standing seam look for less

Get the standing seam look for less

For contractors looking to add a quality yet economical metal panel to their arsenal, the Verti-Rib™ panel is the way to go.

A major draw towards metal roofing is the aesthetics it provides to its accompanying building or home. Different panel styles and coating color palettes can turn a once drab structure into a show-stopping modern marvel, upping the curb appeal and customer satisfaction. While standing-seam metal roofs can give a sleek visual, the cost of materials and installation of that roofing style can be a bit more than some may want to invest in. The solution? An exposed fastener metal panel that delivers the same visuals, for less. In an episode of Roofing Road Trips®, host Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Mark Grigg of Metal Sales to discuss the panel in question, the Verti-Rib™.

Mark shared, “[The Verti-Rib] is an exposed fastener, 3’ panel like your standard classic rib. But what we did with this is we kind of upgraded it to fit into a niche as an in-between for standard AG panels and high-end standing seam roofing.” The Verti-Rib is the result of Metal Sales’ efforts to respond to feedback they received from the field, contractors seeking something new and different. This panel is the result of those efforts.

Mark explained that, while many home and building owners hesitate to invest in putting standing-seam panels on their home or building, this alternative is a far better solution to give the look while saving significant cost. Mirroring the major ribbing seen on standing-seam ridges and implementing them into the design of the Verti-Rib panels gives roofs the same desired aesthetic.

“Verti-Rib fits the bill and is great for commercial applications and heavy gauges. Then, you have the striated version that, from a distance, looks like standing seam and can be economically placed with a lot less time,” Mark explained. “It also gives people the option to go back in later to make changes, too. Say they bought a new house and they want to put up a building, but they don't want to spend three to five weeks trying to get it all together. This is a quick install option because it allows for a lot of coverage in less time.”

With the right design and cost, the Verti-Rib is a great option for contractors looking to better meet the metal roofing demands of the current market.
