Impacting your workflow: How this one software is simplifying the metal sales process

Impacting your workflow: How this one software is simplifying the metal sales process

Need a boost when it comes to leveling up your metal building sales and construction process? Look no further than this tech from Metal Sales.

In a recent episode of the MetalCast™ podcast, host Karen Edwards sat down with Corey Lincoln, business development manager for Metal Sales, to discuss the growing trend of utilizing cold-formed steel in construction projects and how software like ACT Dimensions. can help boost efficiency and sales. In particular, they discuss how the recent surge in popularity of barndominiums among homeowners has been a major push for contractors to implement cold-formed steel buildings. Whether they’re working on these trending homes or tackling a large steel commercial building, it’s vital that contractors have the best tools on hand to calculate and visualize each step, and that’s where Metal Sales comes in.

When working in custom design spaces, it’s critical to have the right tools to do the job well, and that means finding a technology designed with both precision and quality in mind, to ensure that each new job is considered with upmost care and certainty. In the case of barndominium design and installation, it’s important that each phase of the project time frame is carefully considered and accounted for. Corey shared, “Cold-formed steel can be done fast-paced. From the manufacturing standpoint, from the time you hit the order button and confirm the shipping, we can have the delivery at the job site in three to four weeks.”

With that in mind, the importance of having everything lined up and accounted for on the contractor’s part is just as critical. “On the contractor’s part, they get a set of engineering documents, and with every metal piece containing a part code printed on, they are able to reference their paperwork and find exactly where the piece goes and during what phase of building.” With ACT Dimensions, Metal Sales takes the guesswork out of the equation and helps users design, quote and visualize entire projects from the first to last step of assembling the structure. He emphasized that this technology is here to help contractors work, sell and build smarter than ever, in a fraction of the time.
