Editor's note: The following is a transcript of a conversation Renee Ramey of Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA). You can listen to the interview or read the transcript below.
Jenny Yu: Hi everyone, this is Jenny Yu with MetalCoffeeShop and today I'm joined by Renee Ramey, the executive director of Metal Roofing Alliance, thank you for being with us. This March we're discussing social media and it's impact on the industry. So we were wondering if you could share your thoughts specifically on using short form videos and live content to build trust and authority.
Renee Ramey: Social media is a really big part of our program. We've found it to be one of the more effective platforms for reaching homeowners, probably for obvious reasons. But certainly not even just on social media, but specifically on social media, any kind of a short form video, anything live, anything that is eye catching, provides imagery, again, video, things of that nature. We really see an uptick in the likes or the shares or what have you through social media with content like that.
So highly recommend it. We share that message quite often to our members as well as you know the more short form video, the more imagery, the more again eye-catching stuff you can share the better you're going to be.
Jenny Yu: Perfect. And yeah, we're also online, so it's a great message to share. Thank you so much.
Renee Ramey: You're welcome.
