Central States Manufacturing is changing the standard

Discover how Central States’ newest line of Sentry roll-up doors is expanding possibilities. 

As many in the metal construction industry know, it’s important to stay innovative rather than complacent in providing the highest-quality service for your customers. In this episode of MetalCast™, Karen Edwards spoke with Shannon Conrady, marketing director of Central States Manufacturing, to discuss how their newly released line of Sentry roll-up doors and hallway systems keeps Central States ahead of the curve. 

Since 1988, Central States has manufactured high-quality metal panels and trim for roofing, siding and building, serving thousands of distributors and contractors across the United States. Their mission is to create raving fans as they provide advanced metal solutions for a variety of applications.  

One key advancement that Central States’ new Sentry product line boasts is increased customization. “The doors can be customized and built to any inch increment, so there’s no such thing as an oddball-sized door,” Shannon shared. “Just let us know your opening width and height, and we can build it. With 31 standard colors to choose from, there is sure to be a color that works for the business, but if not, we are happy to see a special color.” 

By providing unlimited door-size customization and numerous color options, the new Sentry line is hard to beat.  

Additional innovations that the new Sentry product line features are high-carbon pre-galvanized steel alloy springs and a 26-gauge, double-seamed curtain. “We believe these features improve the longevity of the door, which is important for self-storage owners,” Shannon stated. “Maintenance costs can get out of hand once a product wears out. The springs have a higher fatigue threshold, which should lead to a longer life.  With the double-seamed curtain, our curtain is stronger and less likely to come apart.” 

With these key updates, Central States positions itself as a leading innovator to watch in the metals industry.  

“We’ve consciously chosen to upgrade the standard value of the product offered to the market,” Shannon shared. “We’ve changed the standards.”
